Materials

• 1 skein (56.7 g/2 oz.) 4-ply worsted weight 100% cotton yarn (I used Peaches 'n Cream in Daisy Ombre)
• U.S. size 5 knitting needles (straight, dpns, or circular)
• A 12" piece of 1/4" wide white grosgrain ribbon
• Large tapestry needle

Directions

Cast on 42 stitches.

Knit first five rows.

Row 6: K3, yf, yo twice, p2tog, purl to last three stitches, k3.

Pattern Rows

Knit five rows.

Next row: K3, purl to last three stitches, k3.

Repeat Pattern Rows eleven times more.

Knit last five rows.

Cast off.

Bind off.

Weave loose ends of yarn into back of washcloth. Trim excess yarn.

Lace 12" piece of grosgrain ribbon into hanging hold; tie in pretty bow, leaving a loop for hanging.
