Jammies

I designed and knit these pretty bags from a gorgeous linen yarn I recently fell in love with. It is a fingering weight yarn, wonderful to work with. It would make a very beautiful open work, lacey sweater.

I'm calling these bags "Jammies" because they are designed to fit perfectly over jam and jelly jars in different sizes. The large one is made to fit over a large canning jar. This is a pretty way to present a gift of homemade jam, jelly, or other canned goods ... whether you did the canning or not! As an added treat, once the jam, jelly, etc. is consumer, the jar can be washed and put back in the bag and used as a decorative element on a table or shelf. Toward the end of June I'll be releasing the pattern for these bags.

This spring I completed a very scrumptious sweater and hat set for a baby girl, which I designed and knit. The pattern for the hat is available for free on my free patterns page, while the pattern for both the sweater and hat together are available for purchase online at my Etsy Store (online downloads or printed versions are available).
