Here we have the hand knit gift bag in sunny yellow cotton ... but what's inside? Hey ... who's that peaking his little head out? What does it mean? Oooh, something else, under the duckie. What could it be? Now that looks downright yummie ... exquisite, handmade baby soap of only the finest ingredients. Oh, and what else do we have here? Hmm, a baby washcloth perhaps, handknit of the same soft sunny yellow cotton yarn the gift bag is made of. Ah, now that is pretty sweet ... two baby wash cloths. That second one is made of a...

Yesterday my husband and I went out on a drive in the afternoon to visit with some friends, Andy and Mabel, an older couple from our church. They just adopted a thirteen year old dog named Jenny from a local non-profit group dedicated to finding homes for pets in need. I'm off caffeine. I'll just let that sink in for a minute ... I love coffee. I love English Breakfast, Earl Grey, and green teas. Along with loving the beverages, I love the fact and the act of having a cup of coffee with someone I love or with a good friend. Saturday and Sunday mornings, sipping coffee while chatting with my husband ... sweet. Late weekday mornings sipping coffee or tea with the readers of my blog ... very nice. However, for health and energy reasons I am off caffeine. The truth of the matter is, I feel much...

My Valentine's Day was beautiful, how about yours? One year ago, on Valentine's evening, I sat in a Thai restaurant in Los Angeles having dinner with my sister. I told her about this guy in New York who had emailed me. He was interesting, we had all kinds of things in common ... and he lived on a farm but wasn't a farmer. I told her it was too bad he lived in upstate western New York, because there was no way in the world I would ever even consider moving to New York ... for anything, period. And here...
